A parish church of Saint George. It serves the parish itself, that is the local residents, and lives by their calendar, unlike the neighbouring monastic house with its own order of the day.
Dzmuisi is a case where a monastery and parish churches sit side by side in one village. For mountainous Imereti that is not rare, but it is not the rule either: a house was usually placed away from dwellings, while here everything fits within one village on a slope above the valley. The third holy place of the village is tied to the Kisoreti quarter. The century of building is not established.
The parish is rural and services are infrequent. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. The climb to the village runs along a mountain road, and in wet weather a dry day is the better choice.
