An ancient Svan tower on top of a hill near Turtle Lake is a little-known spot with magnificent views of Tbilisi and the surrounding area. Although you can’t go inside the tower, its architecture and circular observation deck make the place attractive to history and nature lovers.

The path to the tower includes two stages: the ascent from Vake Park to the lake (on foot or by cable car for 1 GEL) and then a short but steep climb to the tower. There are panoramic benches at the top.

    Я побывал в Сванати и Местии, увидел много башен и поднялся на 5 из них. Почему я решил прийти сюда, несмотря на препятствия? Я прошел от озера Черепашье, это место огорожено. Я протиснулся через узкие запертые ворота. Встретил троих парней, которые сказали, что пришли от Этнографического музея. Это сванская башня в Тбилиси, но на неё нельзя подняться!

    Если хотите увидеть башню поближе, вам нужно будет самим пробраться к ней: пролезть через забор, если вы достаточно худой, или перелезть через него или под ним.

    Место интересное, но добраться сюда легально сложно из-за забора. Возможно, можно попасть с территории этнографического музея?

    Мы часто бываем здесь во время групповых походов на выходных. Начинаем маршрут у Удзо и заканчиваем у озера Черепашье. Тропа хорошо размечена и в основном идет вниз, но может быть скользкой, если выпал снег. Вход в башню всегда закрыт.

    Güzel bir savunma kulesi. Gürcüler, topraklarını korumak için bu tür kuleler inşa etmişler. Günümüzde birçokları hala ayakta. Bu kuleye yaklaşamadık ama teleferikten görüntüleyebildik. Ulaşım pek kolay değil.
