I went there on Sunday, December 7. While I was trying on clothes, my wife stood in the hallway outside the fitting rooms to give me her thoughts. Staff approached her and said she had to wait completely outside the fitting area.
When I asked about it, the manager, Magi, pointed to a sign that restricted entry and claimed it was a strict rule enforced by Security.
I find this reasoning and policy unacceptable for several reasons:
The "Security" excuse is weak. It’s ridiculous to use security as a reason to keep a spouse from a common area. We’re customers looking to make a purchase, not a security issue.
It disrupts the shopping experience. I value my wife's opinion when buying clothes. Making her wait outside complicates and frustrates the process.
This is the first time I've encountered a store that prohibits family members from being in the fitting area.
While the staff may have been just following rules, a policy that prioritizes strict security over customer experience is a mistake.
