The church of St. George stands at Khandisi, in the surroundings of Ikvnevi village of Gori Municipality. The name of the area has stayed firmly with the church.
The Ikvnevi naeklesiari lies a kilometre and a half to the north, and the ruins of the church at deserted Sikaleti are south on the uplands. The area lies west of Gori, in the hills at the mouth of the Ateni gorge.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. The roads here are unpaved, so dry weather makes the drive easier.
