The shrine in honour of Lomisi stands in Ghvlevi village in the west of Shida Kartli. Such niches are set by the road or in a visible spot: a candle is left inside, sometimes an icon.
A second Lomisi shrine stands near Ikvnevi, some twelve kilometres away, and the two should not be mixed up. Ghvlevi lies north of Kareli, in the hills above the Kura valley, not far from Koshkebi with its basilicas.
The shrine can be approached at any time. Candles and modest offerings are left here, gifts of others are not touched, and the place deserves careful treatment.
