Of the Zagri Matskhvari church in Sidianari only ruins remain. Matskhvari is the Svan form of the word Saviour, so the shrine was once dedicated to Christ the Saviour.
Sidianari is a small Svan village eight kilometres from Mestia. Two hundred and fifty metres away works the church of the Archangel, a kilometre off stands the Ipkhi church of St. George by Ienashi, and a little further the church in Shkaleri.
Treat the ruins with care: do not take the masonry apart and leave no traces. The site can be visited at any time; follow the coordinates.
