The Zagari church of the Archangel stands by Tsvirmi, a Svan village of the Mulakhi community. Zagari is the name of the locality, which tells this shrine from the other churches around.
Tsvirmi is known for its old towers and views of Ushba; Mestia is seven kilometres away. Four hundred metres off stands the church of St. John the Baptist of the same village, and three and a half kilometres the churches of Ieli and Ats.
Small Svan churches rarely hold regular services, yet the shrine can be approached at any time. Follow the coordinates.
