Another church named after Zemo Khodasheni, this one dedicated to Saint George. The name of the locality is the same as that of the nunnery standing to the south, but the objects differ: the monastery has its own complex, while this is a separate village church.
It stands on a rise above the village, in the foothills west of Telavi. The lands of Atsquri, Zemo Khodasheni and Khodasheni meet almost seamlessly in this part of the municipality, and the boundaries between them cannot be read by eye. Telavi is about eleven kilometres away, Akhmeta fourteen. Less than half a kilometre off stands a Kviratskhoveli church.
There are no regular services here and the church is usually locked, but the yard is open and can be approached at any time. The valley opens up well from the rise, so the place repays a short climb. The way up is unpaved and slippery after rain, and closed shoes are the better choice.
