These are ruins: fragments of walls survive from the church, and the place exists as a monument rather than as a working parish. No services are held here and none will be, so plan the trip as a look at ruins rather than a visit to a church.
The ruins stand in the foothills between Akhmeta and Telavi, on a slope by a dirt road. A small cluster of sanctuaries lies nearby: a kilometre away is the Sachino monastery with the small Bzasakdari church, and a little further the ruined church of the deserted village of Korubani. Akhmeta is about eleven kilometres away, Telavi fifteen.
The site is open and can be approached at any time. Treat the masonry gently: it is crumbling and should not be leaned on. The climb up the slope is short but unpaved, so the way is noticeably harder after rain, and closed shoes are the better choice.
