Batumi in Photos

Batumi lives by the sea and changes visibly from year to year. The palm lined Boulevard runs along the pebble beach, the Alphabet Tower rises above it, and near the port the steel figures of Ali and Nino move towards each other. The old town keeps a neo-Gothic cathedral and houses from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, next to them lies Piazza with its clock tower, and behind them grow high-rises, one of which has a Ferris wheel built right into its facade. The city looks best from above: from the Argo cable car, from the green hills over Batumi and from the cafe inside the dome of the Alphabet Tower. The gallery has three collections: the boulevard and seafront, architecture from the old town to the new towers, and Batumi from above.
