The Muni church is the small church of the Bakhtrioni area, another church of the ensemble beside the fortress and the parish church. While the big neighbours gather pilgrims and lovers of history, Muni remains the quiet margin of the plot: a little church amid grass and silence.
And that is its role: after the fortress walls and the memory of the uprising, Muni brings the Bakhtrioni visit back to the simple scale of village prayer. A logical continuation of the round of the ensemble stands above the Alazani, where Khorbalo by the road stands fourth.
The church is seen freely, with ordinary courtesy: a quiet voice and modest dress. One enters if the door is open and leaves everything as it was.
