The appearance of the Museum of Fine Arts of Adjara dates back to 1998. Initially, the museum housed an exhibition dedicated to the October Revolution.
The famous Georgian architect-sculptor Tamara Abakelia worked on the exterior of the building. The museum is distinguished by its impressive scale: in its possession there is 1716 m2 of area.
At the moment, the museum's collection includes paintings by artists from all over the world. Also, in addition to paintings, the museum has a special sculpture exhibition, an engraving exhibition and a presentation of special decorative fabrics. The museum has a children's art studio and a library.
