The Abanotubani district in Tbilisi is filled with various sulfur baths. The most famous and obligatory to visit is the Motley (Orbelianovskaya) sulfur bath. It is not similar to other baths either in external facades or interior decoration. The exterior is decorated with tiles with blue ornaments, in the evening the illumination creates a magical feeling.
Here you will find 12 separate steam rooms, some named after Russian writers and poets who visited the bathhouse. There is also a public hall. The entrance to the public hall is much cheaper. However, if you want to get acquainted with the special character of Georgia, it is better to visit it.
For a fee, you can order the services of a bath attendant, massage therapist or SPA services. Also, if you forgot to bring a towel, special shoes or cosmetics, you can buy them at the entrance for a relatively small amount.
There are storage rooms. On weekends and holidays, 100% prepayment is required.
