Yakov Ivanovich Nikoladze is one of the founders of the modern sculptural art of Georgia.

From an early age, Yakov discovered an ardent craving for creativity and art and went to study at a sculpture school in Moscow, and then moved to Paris to improve his skills.

He was engaged in the creation of portraits and busts of many famous Georgian figures, and in adulthood decided to transfer his skills to the younger generation and became a teacher at the sculpture university.

Portraits and personal documents are kept in the house-museum dedicated to the figure, as well as a handwritten book that was created personally by Yakov Nikoladze.

Experienced a truly remarkable dive into Georgia's art history, highlighted by some of Iakob Nikoladze's key pieces. The tour was led by his great-great-grandson, who is not only a captivating storyteller but also deeply informed about the renowned sculptor's heritage. It was both enlightening and essential to explore. I highly recommend it!

Дом-музей Якоба Николадзе – это учреждение в Тбилиси, Грузия, основанное в 1951 году. Музей посвящен искусству классификации и в его коллекции находится 112 экспонатов. Государственный контроль за музеем осуществляет Министерство культуры, охраны памятников и спорта Грузии. В экспозиции представлены скульптуры Якоба Николадзе, включая бюсты, портреты и фигуры. Некоторые произведения хранятся под охраной в Национальном музее Грузии – Государственном музее искусств.
