A special place in the creative life of Tbilisi is occupied by the house-museum of Zahariy Paliashvili, whose cultural heritage has been preserved thanks to his invaluable contribution to the national school of composition. Paliashvili is known all over the world as a teacher and conductor, who staged the operas “Abesalom and Eteri”, “Daisi” and “Latavra” in 1919 according to three scenarios of Georgian art.
The works of the public figure are also connected with the Philharmonic society, it was he who initiated the organization of the orchestra, choir and music school. The House Museum holds more than 5,000 exhibits about the life and fate of the composer: documentary data, unique manuscripts, personal correspondence, photographs and video materials and posters of his first productions.
The two-storey museum building has an exhibition hall where thematic exhibitions, conferences, expositions and educational meetings with young people are held monthly.
