Soviet Occupation Museum

The Museum of Soviet Occupation is located at: st. Chavchvadze, 53, in the Gori municipality of the city of Gori. It was founded in 2018 and operates as a legal entity of public law, owned by Gori State Pedagogical University. The museum presents a historical collection dedicated to the events of the hostilities in August 2008. Here you will find a chronological overview of the events of that time and photographs of the fallen soldiers. Open to the public daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with ID), people with disabilities (with valid ID) and refugees.
