In the picturesque slopes of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, among green forests and at the intersection of two mountain rivers Otskhi and Kurtskhani, hides a real pearl of Georgian history - the Abastumani fortress of Queen Tamar. An intriguing addition to the fortress are the ruins of a second fortress and an ancient monastery complex located nearby. And at the foot of the ridge, hidden among the greenery, there is a mysterious tunnel leading to the Otskhi River.
