The House-Museum of the Georgian writer and publicist Luka Razikashvili, also known in Georgia as Vazha Pshavela, was founded in 1961 on the date of the centenary of the poet's birth. The author received special recognition after the publication of the poems “Bakhtrioni” and “Host and Guest” in the 1890s.
Connoisseurs of Vazha Pshavel's creativity should definitely visit the museum complex in the village of Chargali, which consists of a bronze bust, the poet's house and exhibition halls. The museum's fund holds more than 2,000 memorable exhibits about the life and work of the writer, among which there are personal achievements and recordings of the author, photographs, documentary materials and excerpts of films.
The publicist's house is located not far from the museum building, on the right bank of the river. It is a small stone structure consisting of three rooms with modest decoration: weapons, agricultural items, dishes, fireplace and wooden furniture.
