Daniel Chonkadze House Museum

The house-museum of Daniel Chonkadze is located in the village of Kvavili, Dusheti Municipality, and was founded in 1983. This museum, which is a non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity and cultural center of the municipality of Dusheti, is a memorial dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding artist Daniil Chonkadze. The museum's collection includes valuable memorial items reflecting various aspects of Chonkadze's life and work, such as paintings, wood carvings and other unique exhibits. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, except Saturday and Sunday. It is important to note that admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with an identity card), as well as for people with disabilities, refugees (upon presentation of appropriate documents). This is an excellent opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the world of art and history presented in the cozy and carefully preserved space of this unique museum.
