Lake Jandari is a pearl on the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan, immersed in the beauty of the Gardabani Plain at an altitude of 292 meters above sea level. Its watery abode extends over 10.6 square kilometers, surprising with its average depth of 3.75 meters and maximum depth of 7.2 meters. This is not just a reservoir, it is revitalized, fed by the waters of the Mtkvari River (or Kura) through the Gardabani irrigation system.
The shore of the lake is welcomingly spread out, inviting guests to its gently sloping shores. Surrounded by impressive semi-desert and steppe flora, where paliurus and wormwood create their atmosphere, you can find areas of floodplain forest strewn with aspen, willow and tamarisk.
Jandari Lake is a paradise for birds and fishermen. During migration, a huge number of waterfowl gather here, creating an incredible spectacle. From pelicans to wild ducks, a variety of species can be observed, preferring these places to rest and replenish their energy reserves.
And fishermen will find their paradise here: Caspian roach, carp, catfish and other species will become a worthy trophy or a great treat for dinner. Who doesn't dream of spending a weekend in nature? You can always have a picnic around the lake or even organize a campsite, enjoying nature to the fullest.
Jandari Lake is not only a beautiful location, but also a source of life for many species of flora and fauna. By visiting this place, you will not only immerse yourself in beautiful scenery, but also be able to feel close to nature in all its abundance and diversity.
