The Didgori Monument, located in the Kvemo Kartli region, Tetritskaro municipality, is a significant memorial complex dedicated to one of the most important pages in the history of Georgia - the Battle of Didgori of 1121. This is a place of remembrance where David the Builder won a landmark victory over numerous Turkish-Seljuk armies, which marked the beginning of the golden age of Georgian history. In the center of the complex stands a monument decorated with an old Georgian ornament - the symbol of the sun Borjgalo, surrounded by ceremonial columns, swords, bells and other elements symbolizing victory and unity.
A visit to the Didgori Monument is not only an opportunity to touch history, but also a chance to enjoy impressive views of Shida and Kvemo Kartli. Every year, on August 12, the Didgoroba folk festival takes place here in honor of the great victory of the Georgians. This day attracts many visitors from all over Georgia, offering a variety of events and celebrations. The Didgori monument is accessible by road, attracting historians, travelers and anyone interested in the cultural and historical heritage of Georgia.
