The Georgian singer of the Opera and Ballet Theater Vano Sarajishvili became famous for his exquisite vocal skills, bright stage talent and amazing performance of lyrical and dramatic songs. The People's Artist studied at the Tbilisi Music College in the cello class, after which he moved to St. Petersburg for lessons with the teacher Priashnikov.
Vano Sarajishvili is the founder of Georgian professional music. For his contribution to the national culture, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR. The singer regularly gave concerts in opera houses in Italy, Baku, Tbilisi and participated in the production of operas by Zakaria Paliashvili.
The Vano Sarajishvili Memorial Museum is located in the house where the singer spent his youth and adulthood. There are photographs, videos, documentary materials, personal belongings of the artist, as well as ethnographic exhibits: porcelain dishes and antique furniture.
