Nato Vachnadze became famous in the world cinema thanks to her appearance and artistry, she deservedly turned into a legend of silent and sound cinema. The roles and character of her heroines differed significantly from the screen types of other actresses. For her achievements, Nato was awarded the title of People's Artist of Georgia and in 1941 was awarded the Stalin Prize.
The Nato Vachnadze House-Museum, founded in 1985, which belonged to the Andronikashvili family in the XIX century, is located in Gurjaani's native village. The exhibition fund stores exhibits from the life of the actress: paintings, portraits, photographs and videos, ethnographic materials and documentary data.
Museum visitors can watch excerpts of original films with the participation of Nato Vachnadze, as well as hear the story of her creative activity, which is full of success, love and family happiness.
