The museum, founded in 1983, is a real treasury of the history and culture of Adjara. Our collection is a rich collection of materials reflecting the life and ethnography of this region. In the museum you will find tools of the 19th-20th centuries, copper and pottery, works of applied art, as well as historical materials, embroidery, numismatics and works of local art masters, presented in magnificent exhibits.
We are pleased to invite you to visit us every day, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Entrance to the museum is absolutely free, making it accessible to everyone. We provide free entry for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (presenting a card with ID), people with disabilities (with a valid ID) and refugees.
The museum also offers educational programs aimed at involving the younger generation in the field of studying and preserving cultural heritage. Our goal is to preserve and pass on the rich cultural and historical history of this region to future generations.
Join us and go on an exciting journey into the world of Adjara and its rich cultural heritage at the Local History Museum in Khulo!
