The architectural monument "House of the Chinese Tea Master Lau-Jen-Jau" is an abandoned Chinese-style house on the seashore in Chakvi, Georgia. The house was built with the permission of the head of the Main Directorate of Appanages of the Ministry of the Imperial Court and Appanages, Prince Viktor Sergeevich Kochubey, in 1909 for the family of Lau John Jau, also known as Liu Junzhou or Ivan Ivanovich Liu. Initially arrived in Georgia at the invitation of Konstantin Semenovich Popov, November 4, 1893. Lau John Jau was one of 10 Chinese workers who understood the technology of growing and producing tea.
Currently, the House of Lau John Jau is in a deplorable state, but it is planned to reconstruct it with the subsequent creation of a museum on its basis.
