Sulfur pools in Borjomi are a popular attraction located in the picturesque surroundings of a green park. To visit these pools, you need to cover a three-kilometer path from the main gate of the park, two kilometers of which are on a dirt road. The sulfur baths include three small pools with different water temperatures, which allows you to choose the most comfortable option for each visitor.
The water in the pools is running and has a pleasant warm temperature that can warm you up even in mid-April, when it’s +13C outside. The complex provides amenities for visitors: changing rooms, toilets and picnic tables. There are changing cabins, but storage space is limited - they have to be placed on benches. Showers provide sulfur water, as do swimming pools.
For family recreation, there are picnic areas with trestle beds for rent, and you can also sit on the grassy lawn. Unfortunately, sometimes children can become a nuisance by ignoring safety rules and jumping into the pool despite the guard's shouts. In such cases, the health-oriented complex temporarily takes on an entertaining character.
Visitors can reach the sulfur baths by walking across the mountain to the parking lot near the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov or walking along the river to the central part of the park. To visit, you need to pay an entrance fee of 10 GEL for non-locals. Despite some inconveniences, such as the lack of a storage room and a hair dryer, a visit to the sulfur pools will be memorable thanks to the beautiful nature that surrounds this place. General care of the area in proper condition allows you to enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
