The David Komakhidze Museum of Religion was named after the family of the famous writer and collector Teimuraz Komakhidze.
The Komakhidze family made the greatest contribution to the development of the museum, collected a significant part of the current exhibition collection. The most pleasant thing is that absolutely anyone can visit the museum for free.
Currently, the museum houses about 400 exhibits reflecting the peculiarities and customs of different religions of the world. Despite the fact that the museum is still very young (it has been operating since 2004), it very much attracts the attention of tourists coming to Batumi.
