Located to the side of the Batumi State Professional Drama Theater named after Ilya Chavchavadze, the monument to Nunu Tetradze pays tribute to the great actress who dedicated her life to the art of the stage. Having started her career in 1937, Nunu Tetradze served in the theater until the last days of her life, winning the hearts of the audience with her talent and professionalism.
For her contribution to the development of theatrical art, the actress was awarded high awards: in 1945 she became an Honored Artist of Adjara, in 1949 she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Georgia, and in 1957 she became the first female actress in Adjara, who was awarded the title of People's Artist of Georgia.
