Beyond the borders of bustling Batumi, where city lights give way to natural starlight, the Chorokhi River meets the Black Sea. This place, hidden from the eyes of casual travelers, impresses with its pristine beauty and the power of natural elements.
A wide river, having collected water from distant mountain peaks, quickly rushes into the arms of the sea, creating a majestic spectacle of the elements. However, this beauty also carries danger. Slippery rocks, fast currents and underwater whirlpools make swimming here extremely risky, which, unfortunately, has cost the lives of some unwary travelers.
Near the mouth, the edge of the road is occupied by stray dog kennels. During the warm season they are peaceful, but at the first signs of winter they can become more wary and aggressive. It is important to keep your distance and not provoke them.
Despite all these warnings, the mouth of Chorokhi remains a magnificent place for those seeking solitude, meditative observation of nature and, perhaps, introspection. From here there is a stunning view of the horizon, where the sky and sea merge into one, reminiscent of the eternity and infinity of the world around.
